Born in Chilliwack, BC in 1995, Ben began his musical journey on the piano and quickly added guitar to his repertoire. He began writing music at fourteen. Song writing proved an invaluable outlet in processing the challenges, richness and complexity of being human. 2014 marked the beginning of his journey as a producer, recording his first album Nostalgia under the artist name "Jamin". "Whispers of Nobility" followed in 2016, marking the beginning of electronic influences in his unique blend of folk and pop.
In 2018 he began self-producing music with his wife under "Laid to Heart". Always looking for a way to offer music as a gift, he recorded "Ring to You", a collection of love songs, as a special memento for his wedding attendees. Two years later "Honesty & Amnesty" was released, an EP capturing themes of spirituality and personal reflection.
His upcoming EP "Blended & Bereaved" explores the world-flipping experience of deconstructing your religious and spiritual outlook. it contains a beautifully woven mix of electron pop and acoustic folk.
